Hip Pain Strain is also called Hip Fllexor Injury. Your hip flexors are groups of muscles
located in your hip that help your walk, run, move side to
side, and walk backwards. When you over exercise or “overdo
it” with these muscles, you strain the muscles which results
in a Hip Flexor Injury.
Hip Flexor Injury causes Hip Muscle Pain, lower back pain, or can also cause Hip and Leg Pain. Other symptoms include: pain when walking or running, pain while stretching out your hip and leg pain, and some swelling may occure.
You
can strain your hip by doing many different things:
Over exercising
Shoveling snow
Raking leaves
Even doing simple just a simple task like bending down to get something

If after an activity you feel that you have hip flexor injury and you feel Hip Muscle Pain or Hip and Leg pain, first see your trainer or your doctor
to make sure nothing else is wrong. Then follow these steps to relieve your Hip Muscle Pain:
Rest and keep the hip in a comfortable position.
For the 1st couple of days, put ice on the area for 20 minutes then keep the ice off for 20 minutes.
After icing for a while, you may put on Arnica which is a natural over-the-counter anti-inflammatory cream to help
keep the swelling down.
After 2 days of icing, start applying heat to the injury.
Usually it takes 7-10 days to heal the hip strain.
If you don’t see an improvement or your condition gets worse, make an appointment with a doctor.
In Summary, Hip Flexor Injury can occure by over exercising or "over doing it". It can be caused by doing simple tasks. And on the other side, tt can also be cause by explosive movements or over time. Symptoms include Hip Muscle Pain or Hip and Leg Pain. Your treatments shoud include seeing your trainer or doctor, resting, icing the affected area for the 1st couple of days, then apply heat to the affect area, and using Arnica (over the counter pain reliever cream) to relieve the pain and swelling.
